Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni on Tuesday issued orders placing Ramachandrapuram sub-inspector of police Nagaraju to vacancy reserve.

Following an alleged attack on the YSR Congress Party’s youth wing president Jakkampudi Raja at Ramachandrapuram mosque centre on Sunday night, the SP ordered an inquiry into the incident, as Mr. Raja accused the SI of resorting to assault.

“Based on the inquiry report, we have initiated disciplinary action on the SI and placed him in the VR,” Mr. Vishal told the media.
