The committee enquired about the implementation of promises made to people of the district such as development of Dagadarthi airport, creation of tourist facilities at beach resorts, laying of six-lane highway between Nayudupeta and Renigunta, etc. Briefing the media later, Mr. Muddu Krishnama Naidu said that the committee instructed the administration to resume land from companies that did not ground units till date and encourage industries that were creating jobs for local people. Stating that Nellore was strategically located nearer to the Chennai and Renigunta international airports, Mr. Naidu said there was greater scope for industrial development in the district.

Replying to a query on SCS, Mr. Naidu said: “We should understand that this is one of the major promises made to the people at that time. There is a need to help A.P. on the lines of Uttarakhand.”
