It was a visual treat for connoisseurs of art as well as laymen as painters from different parts displayed their eye-catching paintings at an art exhibition-cum-sale organised by Supriya Kala Nilayam founder Rangula Sandhya here on Sunday.

Over 500 paintings in among other styles, modern, semi-modern, abstract, still life and realistic kept the art lovers spellbound at the event held in collaboration with civic society organisation Bharateeyam. Noted painter Macharaju inaugurated the exhibition along with Praja Natya Mandali honorary president Nalluri Venkateswarulu.

The paintings were in the range of Rs.100 to Rs. 1.50 lakh.

Vijayawada Art Society president Allu Rambabu and A. Giridhar were among those who won the admiration of art lovers by doing life portrait sketching of interested persons.
