Rain played havoc in Guntur district with normal life getting affected due to snapped rail and road connectivity on Wednesday, when skies opened for 12 hours. A woman was washed away in the strong current of flood water in a stream overflowing the Guntur-Amaravathi main road at Lam. Railway line was hanging at some places with soil under it getting washed away. Cotton and paddy crops in the fields were inundated in hundreds of acres. The Hindu photographer T.
