Arrangements reviewed in Chittoor

Joint Collector P.S. Girisha and District Revenue Officer (DRO) L. Vijaychander on Wednesday held a review meeting with the officials of various departments and sought them to coordinate for the conduct of the Independence Day celebrations at the Police Parade Grounds here.

The officials said that teams were formed to invite dignitaries and make seating arrangements as per protocol. Departmental heads had been told to prepare notes and submit the same for preparing speeches to highlight various developmental works in the district.

Cultural events

District Educational Officer Nageswara Rao would coordinate the cultural events.

Superintendent of Police G. Srinivas informed the officials that steps were taken regarding flag hoisting and decoration of the parade grounds.

Students of all educational institutions in Chittoor town and surrounding areas were invited to participate in the event.

Officials of the medical and health were directed to set up medical teams and ambulance services at the venue. Representatives from the revenue, civil supplies, DRDA, medical and health wing, the Chittoor Municipal Corporation and police were present.
