AP, TS CMs to attend Ugadi celebrations at Raj Bhavan

Stage is set for the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana N.Chandrababu Naidu and K. Chandrasekhar Rao to come face to face yet again. Setting aside the differences confronting the two States, Mr. Naidu and Mr. Rao along with their families are all set to attend the Ugadi celebrations at Raj Bhavan on Friday evening.

Governor for both the States E.S.L.Narasimhan is hosting Ugadi celebrations. “Both the Chief Ministers have been invited with their families to grace the occasion where former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam will be the chief guest,” official sources said. The two Chief Ministers have given their consent, it was pointed out.

The Governor in a message on Friday greeted the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the Telugu-speaking people.

He said: “Ugadi is a festival of joy, hope and brings with it new cheer and expectation for a brighter tomorrow. I am confident that the Manmadha Nama Samvastsaram will usher in peace, prosperity, harmony and happiness to all the people and sections of the society for a tranquil and fulfilling New Year.”
