Contending that YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was day-dreaming to come to power in the State in 2019, Women and Child Welfare Minister Paritala Sunitha on Thursday maintained that the State needed the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu more now than ever before to put it on the path of progress.
Kicking off the first in the series of public meetings and party coordination committee meetings to gear up the party for the next Assembly elections, at Darsi in Prakasam district, she said the YSRC president had no moral right to point an accusing finger at the TDP and talk about corruption after amassing disproportionate assets.
''Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy has no chance of becoming Chief Minister in this birth,'' she opined adding that it was unfortunate that he had stooped to the level of threatening officials of dire consequences once he became the Chief Minister. ''Is the YSRC not responsible for the cutting of pipe resulting in rainwater entering Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy's chambers?” she asked.
