May 07, 2015 04:16 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 05:06 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has appealed to RTC employees union leaders to reconsider their decision to continue the strike in view of Eamcet and Teacher Recruitment Test.

About seven lakh candidates are appearing for both the exams including the children of RTC employees, he said here on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference a day ahead of the Eamcet exam here on Thursday, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that alternative transport arrangements were being made for the convenience of students.

It is not possible to postpone the exam at this stage, he said and advised the parents to reach the places of exam centres in advance. The Government has already procured the vehicles from private college managements to ply them on the examination day.

Students should plan ahead to reach the exam centres on time and if there was some delay in reaching the centres due to valid reasons then the authorities concerned would take a decision in permitting the late comers.
