A.P. might file caveat on CRDA Bill

December 15, 2014 11:37 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 08:53 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The government is likely to file a caveat to prevent any litigation once the Capital Region Development Authority Bill is passed by the Assembly during the brief winter session beginning on December 18. According to sources, the government might consider filing a caveat if necessary. Meanwhile, the State Cabinet meeting, which had been scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed to December 17.

At a meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on land pooling on Monday, the Ministers discussed the proposed changes. It also discussed whether a clause was needed in the draft bill to abolish the Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri urban body or a separate bill was needed. The sources said all these aspects would be discussed at the Sub-Committee meeting on December 17.
