Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy of the A. P. High Court directed the NTR Health University not to approve the admissions to MBBS seats made by 22 private medical colleges in the State, unless they proved that they had scrupulously followed the judgement of a division bench of the Court delivered a few years ago.

Four students moved the High Court complaining that the management quota was sold out and merit was compromised in all the private colleges. The case was adjourned by a week to facilitate Government and the University to file their counters.

The Judge recalled that a series of orders were given by the bench and that the government had also issued an order to this effect. The Court wanted to know the order was being implemented.
