AP Govt. orders probe into Guntur cylinder blast

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Monday ordered senior officials to conduct thorough probe into the blast in Guntur district that killed 15 persons.

Mr. Rosaiah called up district Collector P. Ramanjaneyulu and Superintendent of Police Sankhabrata Bagchi to inquire about the incident, according to the Chief Minister's Office.

State Director General of Police R. R. Girish Kumar told PTI that a detailed probe has been ordered into the blast.

"It's a grave incident and we shall conduct a thorough probe into it," the DGP said.

Nearly 15 people were killed and 20 injured when gelatin sticks stocked in a house blew up due to a fire triggered by cylinder blast in Narayanapuram village on Monday.
