The Andhra Pradesh Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan on Saturday suggested the implementation of an All India service posts in the judiciary.

“The talent that comes out of the best law schools is opting for corporate jobs. We need to explain them the importance of judiciary in the Indian democracy,” the Governor said, while inaugurating a seminar on e-Governance in judiciary organised by the AP Technological Services, AP Administrative Tribunal (APAT) and its Advocates Association.

Though the graduates are attracted towards corporate jobs for higher pay and perks, the role the judiciary play in the democracy is much important and creation of an all India service will have greater coordination with other services, he said.

Talking about judges role in development, the Governor suggested that number of stay orders issued by judges need to be looked into.

While appreciating judges and their constraints, he said, some time development will affect due to stay orders granted on complaints filed by vested interests.

He also advised number of adjournments of a case need to be controlled. He suggested that the communication gap between judges and common man should be removed.

He said video conferencing is one of the best tools to try terrorists who cannot be presented in courts due to security reasons.

High court Judge Justice V. V. S. Rao and APAT Chairman Justice G. Yathirajulu were among the speakers.
