April 04, 2013 04:05 am | Updated 04:05 am IST - KADAPA:

Kadapa District Congress Committee official spokesman Nagendra Yadav opened one round of fire in the air after Congress MLA of Jammalamadugu C. Adinarayana Reddy’s followers pelted stones at him and damaged his car at Gandikota guest house near Jammalamadugu town on Wednesday.

The clash occurred when Mr. Yadav went to Gandikota guest house to invite Minister for Handlooms and Textiles G. Prasada Kumar to a handloom sadassu organised by him at Dommaranandyal in Mylavaram mandal. The Minister who came to the guesthouse to have lunch after addressing a handloom sadassu on Jammalamadugu MPDO office premises, reportedly turned down Mr. Yadav’s request.

As Mr. Yadav was leaving the premises, the MLA’s followers allegedly heckled him, leading to an altercation and stone-pelting in which the glass panes of the former’s car were broken. Following the incident, Mr. Yadav lodged a complaint with Jammalamadugu Urban CI Ravi Babu.
