Andhra Pradesh Ministers took strong objection to the alleged comments made by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao over fee reimbursement scheme even as they asserted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was committed to implementing the scheme.

If need be, the A.P. government is prepared to enhance its share in the scheme for the convenience of students, said Social Welfare Minister Ravella Kishore Babu here on Sunday.

The row over implementation of fee reimbursement would cast its impact on other schemes as well.

The Governor’s call was ultimate for all the issues connected with Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in line with the provisions in the Reorganisation Act, and both the State’s should abide by it, stressed Mr. Babu.

Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was implementing rules as specified in the Reorganisation Act that was enacted during the previous UPA tenure.

Students’ nativity should be decided as per the norms laid down in the Reorganisation Act in line with the Constitution, he added. Panchayat Raj Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu said measures should be taken for implementation of unified education policy for 10 years as mandated in the Act.
