Ministers from Telangana region stood at their respective seats and raised slogans against the Chief Minister.
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly remained paralysed for the second day on Tuesday as the pro and anti bifurcation slogans dominated the brief proceedings.
As soon as the House convened for the day, Telangana MLAs of the Congress, TRS and the TDP thronged the Well of the House demanding rejection of the notice served by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to the Speaker to return the A. P. Reorganisation Bill. They raised slogans against the Chief Minister and demanded that the House complete the debate on the bifurcation Bill.
Speaker Nadendla Manohar, who stated that that House was in utter chaos, adjourned the House for an hour. The members, however, remained unrelenting after the proceedings resumed in spite of repeated appeals by Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, forcing the Chair to adjourn the proceedings again.
The TDP MLAs from Seemandhra rushed to the Speaker's chamber after the adjournment and squatted there demanding voting on the bifurcation Bill. The YSR Congress members also staged a protest in front of Mr. Manohar's chamber in support of their demand to keep the State united.
