The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned amidst uproarious scenes after legislators from Seemandhra and Telangana regions stalled the proceedings.

Soon after the House met to take up listed agenda, including a debate on AP Reorganisation Bill, members of YSR Congress and TDP MLAs from Seemandhra region surrounded the podium and raised slogans in support of united Andhra Pradesh. The TRS members too stood in the well and raised slogans favouring bifurcation.

After his appeals went in vain, the Speaker announced that he was calling a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee and adjourned the House.

Earlier, he disallowed two adjournment notices tabled by TDP and YSR Congress.
