ANUR professor retrenched from service

June 01, 2014 09:54 pm | Updated 09:54 pm IST - RAJAHMUNDRY:

The Executive Council of Adikavi Nannaya University (ANUR) headed by Principal Secretary, Higher Education, which met in Hyderabad three days ago, strongly recommended dismissal of Prof. G. Ganesan, Head of Mathematics Department of the university. This was communicated to Vice-Chancellor P. George Victor and Registrar K. Raghubabu on Saturday night.

In a press release, the Registrar said that the council having considered complaints of harassment, humiliation and victimisation by some faculty members against Prof. Ganesan and based on the enquiry conducted by B.V. Rangaraju, retired Judge of AP High Court, decided to retrench Prof. Ganesan from service with immediate effect.

Prof. Ganesan is also facing another inquiry on submitting false certificates for getting professor post and also to join the university in 2008. “He is not having requisite qualification and experience and he will be punished in that case also,” the Registrar said.
