The State government is speeding up the process to construct another bridge on river Krishna between Edurumondi and Etimoga villages in Nagayalanka mandal of Krishna district.

“The officials concerned have already prepared a report estimating various requirements for the bridge and submitted it to the State government,” said Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad during the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meet, held here on Tuesday. The proposed location for the bridge is close to Krishna district’s border with Guntur district.

Reviewing summer action plan on drinking water, Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has directed officials concerned to take repairs works of drinking water pipelines and water tanks. “Nearly Rs. 5 crore meant to promise drinking water in summer must be timely utilised,” said Mr. Umamaheswara Rao.
