A special investigation team from Andhra Pradesh held an inquiry with the families of the victims killed in the encounter in Seshachalam forests,  at Arasalnatham on Wednesday.

The 18-member team led by Inspector General of Police Ravishankar Aiyanar and accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police Ramana Kumar, and Additional SP Chandrashekar, among others, held day-long inquiry with the families.

According to sources, the team held one-to-one inquiry with the families on the nature of jobs undertaken by the victims; their educational qualification; income brought back from a job; if the men went in groups; and the type of gadgets and material carried by the victims while setting out on a job.

The inquiry was held at the local government middle school, and each family was questioned for over 45 minutes by the team.

The team is said to have arrived here on the orders of the Andhra Pradesh High Court that had asked the police to submit a report on the encounter killings.
