Continuing his defiant stand against the bifurcation, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has reiterated his support to the cause of Samaikyandhra Pradesh.

Participating in the Rachabanda programmes at Jillellamanda and Kalakada in his Piler constituency in the district on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy announced that he would go to any extent to stall the bifurcation. “I will seek your support at the right time and you will have to strengthen my hands,” he said, gesturing towards the audience.

In the same vein, he said that he had not only presented the facts and figures to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, but also the consequences of bifurcation, hoping that they would definitely halt the process.

Elaborating on his adamant insistence on a unified State, the Chief Minister pointed out that bifurcation could spell doom for both the regions.
