AIS cadre allocation: DoPT releases provisional list

December 26, 2014 11:28 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 06:45 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The Department of Personnel and Training on Friday evening finalised the provisional list of All India Service officers between the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and uploaded the same on its website.

The department also issued separate notifications for the allocation of three cadres -- IAS, IPS and IFS -- between the two States. It may be recalled that the Prime Minister approved the guidelines and the modalities for the distribution of AIS officers between the two successor States on December 25.

The competent authority also approved swapping within the category and in the same grade pay and cadre shift on grounds of marriage and superannuation in two years from June 2.

Fresh window of opportunity

The officers will have a fresh window of opportunity for 15 days to indicate whether they would like to shift to the other successor State on the grounds of marriage or any other reason. The officers who request for change would be arranged in the order of seniority in the respective successor State in terms of category and grade pay. Those couples who have been allocated to the same cadre would not be allowed the option of swapping based on the ground of marriage. After the swapping exercise, if some of the AIS couples still remain unadjusted in the same cadre, the couples would be adjusted in the cadre of their choice as per provisions of cadre transfer guidelines of GoI.

Request for change of cadre on the grounds allowed should be made to the chairman of the advisory committee latest by 5.30 p.m. on January 10. The whole exercise of preparation of the final list will be completed within 45 days of the publication of the provisional list.
