A 45-year-old woman suffered for two hours as her right leg was stuck in iron grills at the post office in Sangareddy on Monday evening. The police had to rope in a stone-grinder to get her leg released from the grills.

According to eye-witnesses, the woman named Pentamma arrived at the post office for some work in the evening. But her right leg got stuck accidentally in the grills and she was unable to remove it. CI Shiva Shankar rushed to the spot, called a mechanic who cut the grill to rescue Pentamma.

She was later shifted to the government hospital.
