Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday asked officials to adopt best practices during the 11-day Janmabhoomi, beginning on Saturday.

Mr. Naidu, who held a video conference with district Collectors on the programme, said the best practices adopted here should be replicated elsewhere in various spheres of development. He said people would worship officials and politicians who serve them efficiently. He wanted the officials to ensure people’s participation in Janmabhoomi.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to ensure that all eligible people were given pensions.

Mr. Naidu also administered ‘Rashtriya Ekta’ pledge to employees in the Secretariat on the occasion of former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabbhai Patel’s birth anniversary. Observing that Patel was an inspiration, he recalled the pivotal role played by him in unifying the country through merger of more than 500 princely States and also integration of the erstwhile Hyderabad.
