Kurnool Anti-Corruption Bureau DSP Jayarama Raju and staff trapped Venkateswarlu, the village revenue officer of Puduru in Kurnool mandal, when he allegedly demanded and received bribe of ₹5,000 for handing over a pattadar passbook on Saturday.

Mr. Purushotham had applied for pattadar passbook for 52 cents of land inherited from his late father and the tehsildar issued it. However, the Puduru VRO demanded bribe for handing over the passbook and Mr. Purushotham complained to the ACB officials. The ACB officials nabbed the VRO when he took the money. The VRO would be produced before the ACB Judge on Sunday, the DSP said.
