ACB takes over 'cash-for-bail' case

June 09, 2012 11:18 am | Updated July 12, 2016 01:31 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) will register a case on ‘cash-for-bail' scam involving the judge of First Additional Special Court for CBI Cases T. Pattabhirama Rao on Saturday.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which has unearthed the scam has handed over the relevant files to ACB officials at the instance of the High Court here on Friday after it found that there was prima facie evidence of wrong doing. Even if the case is registered by ACB the CBI will still have interest in it.

When contacted, Director General of ACB B. Prasada Rao told The Hindu that they were handed over the case file by CBI.
