Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday served notice to Jimmy, friend of one of the accused in cash for vote case Harry Sebastian, to appear before them at their Jubilee Hills office here.

“Jimmy emerged as a suspect in the case. His role in aiding the three accused and arranging Rs. 50 lakh needs to be ascertained,” ACB officials on condition of anonymity said.

Investigators said they would get some leads from Jimmy in the case and initiate penal action if he failed to cooperate with the investigation.

A second notice was served to Telangana TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah of Sathupally in Khammam district by the investigators. The notice was pasted at the official quarters of the MLA at Hyderguda. It stated that the MLA should present himself at the ACB office before 5 p.m. on Monday.
