ABVP activists enforced a school bandh in Kurnool district and demonstrated before the DEO office on Tuesday deploring closing of several government schools on the pretext of rationalisation.
ABVP State Working Committee member Srinivasachari, executive member Siva Kumar, city secretary Bharat and sanghatana secretary Suman, who led the protest, said the government schools lacked adequate teachers and facilities, thereby affecting the teaching standards. The uniforms supplied to school students were of poor quality and would not last till the end of the academic year, they said.
