Abe assures A.P. help to build world-class capital

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Friday assured Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that Japan would extend full cooperation to Andhra Pradesh in building a world-class capital city.

Mr. Naidu met Mr. Abe at his office in Tokyo and invited him to Andhra Pradesh during his visit to India in January. He also handed over Tirupati prasadam and a memento to the Japanese Premier.

According to a note released by the Communications Adviser to the Andhra Pradesh government, Mr. Abe said: “Japan will extend full cooperation to the new State of Andhra Pradesh in its development.”

Mr. Abe was quoted as saying that this meeting would strengthen ties between Japan and India and open new vistas for both the countries in strategic and global partnership.
