In a rare move, the State Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has nominated a transgender, Shaik Sameera to contest from Jammalamadugu Assembly segment in Kadapa district.
On Thursday, the party released its second list of Assembly candidates for Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region.
A total of 23 candidates have found place in the list. Some of them include Ramachandra Rao from Ongole, Rajesh Goud from Anantapur, Pawan Kumar from Tirupati and Prasad. M from GD Nellore.
