On their advice, she was taken to Hyderabad, where she died while undergoing treatment. Three swine flu cases were detected in Kurnool district so far. They included a BSNL official from the city and a woman of Gadivemula mandal.

Staff Reporter in Machilipatnam writes:

Members of the Machilipatnam Lions Club, led by its secretary G. Raju, on Sunday distributed homeo medicine for swine flu among families of the Yanadi tribe.

During a door-to-door campaign, the members also created awareness about the virus.

They ensured that the medicine was administered to the tribal children too.

Mr. Raju stated that the preventive medicine would also be distributed in anganwadi centres in the days to come.
