A seven day-old male baby was stolen from a hospital at Adoni in Kurnool district on Monday. The couple - Gouramma and Mahadev from Madira, which was blessed with the child a week ago, went to a children's hospital for check up in the town.
A stranger who accosted them asked the woman to hand over the baby to him and buy the hospital token. When the woman followed his instructions, the stranger made away with the baby. After receiving a complaint, the police launched a search for the baby at the public places like bus station and railway station and other transit points in the town.
