Krishna District Collector B. Lakshmikantam on Thursday announced that a detailed beautification plan has been chalked out to beautify 18 km length of canals across Vijayawada.
Speaking to mediapersons here , he said the government had already sanctioned ₹ 61 crore for the beautification of canals, giving a fillip to tourism here.
The district administration in collaboration with forest authorities have designed Pelican festival scheduled to commence on Feb. 4 at Atapaka Bird Sanctuary in Kolleru Lake.
