A six-year-old girl has been allegedly sexually abused by her uncle, a 31-year-old English teacher, for the past one year at Ghantasala village of Krishna district.
The trauma faced by the girl came to light at a local hospital where she was examined by the doctors for pain in private parts. According to the Ghantasala police, the girl was taken to the hospital by her parents after she complained of pain. The doctors who examined the victim found that she had been sexually assaulted, the police said.
The parents later learned about the role of the girl’s uncle who allegedly lured her with toys and chocolates and resorted to physical abuse.
Complaint lodged
The girl’s mother lodged a complaint with the Ghantasala police late on Wednesday and the accused, Shyam Paul, who works at a private school in Vakkalagadda village, has been taken into custody.
He was booked under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act.
The victim is currently being treated at the GGH under the supervision of Integrated Child Protection Scheme staff G. Premalatha and Y. Johnson.
