3.29 lakh voter identity cards to be distributed

Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) will be distributed free of cost to the 3.29 lakh new voters in East Godavari district, who got them enrolled between October 2013 and January 2014. The Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) will deliver the cards at the voters’ doorstep. Collector and Election Officer Neetu Prasad advised the voters to lodge complaint against the BLOs in case the latter demanding money. The voters can call the Election Cell on toll-free phone numbers-- 1077 and 1800-425-3077 to register their complaints. Those who enrolled them after February would get their cards very soon, she said, adding that the voter slips would also be distributed well in advance.
