As many as 30 pilgrims from Gujarat suffered injuries when the APSRTC bus in which they were travelling met with an accident on the second ghat road leading to Tirumala on Sunday.

The mishap took place when the driver in his attempt to overtake another bus hit it from behind. Sources said that there were more than sixty passengers on board in both the vehicles.

Even though it is estimated that more than 45 people were injured in the mishap, only 30 of them were rushed to hospital where they were undergoing treatment.
