The police on Tuesday seized 250 kg of ganja being transported to Tamil Nadu State from Visakhapatnam district. They seized a car and arrested two persons in this connection.
During a vehicle check-up, the police intercepted a car near Benz Circle and seized the contraband, weighing about 250 kg. They arrested two persons – Satish and Malaya Raja – both natives of Madurai of Tamil Nadu, said Central Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police D.V. Nageswara Rao.
Patamata Circle Inspector P.E. Pavan Kumar Reddy said the accused were shifting the ganja from Anakapalle. A case has been registered and investigation is under progress, said the CI.eom
