Two youths, who went for a swim in village ponds, drowned in separate incidents in Chittamur and Kavali rural mandal limits in Nellore district on Saturday.
A Parandhamaiah, 21, who was studying Ag.BSc at Kakinada, visited his sister’s house at Amudaladinne in Kavali rural limits. He went to the agricultural fields along with family members. He drowned when he got into the local water tank.
B. Srikanth, 19, drowned at Chittamur village. He went for a swim along with friends and reportedly allegedly got stuck in the weeds in the pond.
