13 killed, 16 injured in road accidents in AP

At least 13 persons were killed and 16 others injured in different road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today.

In Nalgonda district, five persons died on the spot and three injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Yellareddygudeam village of Narketpalli mandal, police said.

The injured were admitted to a government hospital at Nalgonda where a victim succumbed to injuries.

The victims, belonging to Mahabubnagar district, were returning after visiting a local temple when the mishap occurred, they said.

In another incident in Khammam district, five persons were killed and 10 others injured when a van coming from opposite direction rammed into an autorickshaw in which they were travelling.

In yet another incident, two persons were killed and three others sustained injuries when a car rammed into a stationary private bus at Konduru village in Nellore district.
