: The Division bench of Hyderabad High Court on Thursday passed orders facilitating 104 ambulances to operate in A.P. These orders were passed in a writ appeal filed by the State government.

Initially, the Piramal agency was given contract to operate these 104 ambulances. Eagle Hunters filed a writ petition challenging the awarding of contract.

The single judge gave orders restraining the government from giving the contract to Piramal. The advocate general appeared and said the contract was given in February and the writ petitioner who took away his deposit cannot file a case and the single judge passed orders in April.

The Bench considered that the services are essential in summer and stayed the operation of the single judge order till June 2.

The Bench order was by Justice A. Rajasekhar Reddy and Justice Shankar Narayana.
