The Cabinet on Saturday gave approval for cloud policy, a mega loan from the Vijaya Bank for the Rythu Sadhikara Samstha (RSS) and an amendment related to the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS).
The Artificial Intelligence-Cloud Hub Policy 2018-2020 contemplates enabling the entry of technology companies specialising in both the domains to generate 1 lakh IT jobs in two years.
The Cabinet approved the extension of guarantee for a loan ₹1,000 crore being raised by the RSS with a monthly interest rate of 7.9 % for creating infrastructure facilities in agricultural sector.
An amendment to the A.P. Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies Act to curtail collection of deposits by societies from non-members or the public was also cleared. This is to prevent money laundering in societies thereby safeguard the interests of the depositors.
The single bid submitted by the Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd. for developing a greenfield minor port at Bhavanapadu in Srikakulam district under the PPP mode and development of a greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district under PPP mode also received the nod.
The new airport will be spread over 2,703 acres consisting of an aero-city, a maintenance-repair-overhaul (MRO) facility and an aviation academy.

It sanctioned special incentives to the Franklin Templeton Investment and Innova Solutions under the Integrated Innovation and Technology (IIT) Policy 2017-2020.
The Cabinet also approved the enhancement of remuneration by 50% for 484 technical and non-technical employees who had been outsourced and not covered in enhancement orders issued in August 2016.
It also cleared the proposal to rename the IIIT at Ongole as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam IIIT-Ongole, RGUKT-A.P.
