Amnesty calls for impartial probe into BRD hospital deaths

Authorities must ensure thorough, independent and impartial investigation into the deaths of 70 children at Gorakhpur’s BRD Medical College, Amnesty International India (AII) said on Saturday.

AII’s programme director Asmita Basu said, “The death of 70 children in a five-day period in a government hospital is nconscionable.The government has an obligation to ensure that investigations are carried out in an impartial manner,” she said.
