Alliance with DMK stands as of now: Manmohan

November 13, 2010 01:06 am | Updated November 17, 2021 05:32 am IST - On Board the Prime Minister's Special Aircraft:

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Friday that it was for the Congress high command to “take note” of AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa's offer of support in return for dismissing Communications Minister A. Raja, but added “as of now” the Congress' alliance with the DMK stands.

“This is a subject I am hearing for the first time. It is for the Congress high command to take note of it. I don't know what Jayalalithaa has offered. We are in alliance with the DMK, and that alliance stands as of now,” Dr. Singh told journalists accompanying him on his return from Seoul, where he attended the G20 Summit.
