All set for by-elections

The by-elections to one Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal and six Assembly seats in various States will be held on Friday.

The by-election to the Bangaon Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal was necessitated by the death of Trinamool Congress member Kapil Krishna Thakur.

Liromoba in Arunachal Pradesh; Panaji in Goa; Srirangam in Tamil Nadu; Krishnaganj in West Bengal; Mukhed in Maharashtra; and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh are the Assembly constituencies going to the polls.
