Former telecommunication minister Dayanidhi Maran Thursday urged the Supreme Court to restrain the CBI from filing chargesheet against him in Aircel-Maxis deal as investigation into the case is yet to be completed.

Mr. Maran has contended that under the law, the investigating agency could not file a chargesheet without completing the investigation.

The apex court bench headed by Justice H.L. Dattu said that it would hear the matter at 2 p.m. after it was mentioned by senior counsel C.A. Sundaram and Amrendra Sharan.
