AINEF General Secretary K. L. Kapoor passes away

K. L. Kapoor, a former journalist and General Secretary of the All-India Newspapers Employees Federation (AINEF) died here following a brief illness.

The 85-year-old trade unionist breathed his last this morning at his residence in south Delhi’s Gulmohar Park.

Mr. Kapoor, who retired from Hindustan Times, was the General Secretary of AINEF for the past 25 years.

Condoling his death, Secretary General of Confederation of Newspapers and News Agencies Employees Organisations M. S. Yadav, said Mr. Kapoor was a dedicated and diligent trade unionist who always worked for the welfare of newspaper employees.

Indian Journalists Union president Suresh Akhauri, also condoled the death.
