April 20, 2015 12:20 am | Updated 12:20 am IST - New Delhi:

A 35-year-old sharpshooter allegedly associated with jailed underworld don Abu Salem, and wanted in several cases ranging from extortion to smuggling fake Indian currency was arrested by the Delhi Police. The accused, Jaan Usman Khan, has cases registered against him both in Delhi and Mumbai, said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.

The police said Khan met Salem through another sharpshooter in the gang, one Waseem. Khan, who was arrested in a fake currency case in 2000, moved to Mumbai on release from jail and was involved in extortion rackets and was arrested again in 2010 for illegal possession of arms and murder.
