After Delhi win, AAP has set its sights on Lok Sabha poll
Even as the Aam Aadmi Party is all set to form the government in Delhi with the outside support of the Congress, people can expect more fireworks between the two parties over the next few days.
AAP leader Kumar Vishwas, tipped to contest against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the coming Lok Sabha poll, is expected to visit Amethi, Mr. Gandhi’s constituency on Friday.
The development comes amid bickerings between the AAP and the Congress over Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement that allegations of corruption during the Congress regime in Delhi would be probed, and the growing division within the Congress rank and file over the party’s decision to support the AAP in government formation.
Though Mr. Vishwas would visit Amethi to take part in Jhadu Sandesh Yatra, AAP sources said it would mark the beginning of the party’s preparations for the Lok Sabha poll outside Delhi.
Mr. Vishwas, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, is expected to organise a meeting with AAP workers and mobilise the masses in favour of the party in the constituency.
