The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday registered five more cases pertaining to alleged irregularities in recruitments made through Vyapam from 2008 to 2013.
The first case of cheating has been registered against unknown persons on allegations that question papers of the Patwari recruitment examinations held in 2008 were leaked.
Two persons have been booked in another case for alleged cheating by impersonation in the Constable Recruitment examination conducted in 2013. The third case has been registered against 24 accused persons on allegations of illegalities in the examination conducted in 2012 to recruit police constables.
“Four persons have been named in the fourth case registered under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Madhya Pradesh Recognised Exams Act. They have been accused of impersonation in the constable recruitment examination held in 2013,” said a CBI official.
The fifth case has been registered against two accused persons on the basis of an FIR filed by the State Special Task Force on allegations of impersonation in the constable recruitment examination held in 2012.
150 cases in allWith the Supreme Court directing the CBI to take over most the Vyapam scam cases, the agency is all set to initiate probe into over 150 cases.
