34 killed as van collides with bus

Thirty-four people, returning from the funeral of a relative, were killed and 30 injured when the van carrying them collided with a State-run bus here on Saturday evening.

District Magistrate Amit Gupta said the collision took place near Annipur village on the Badaun-Agra road.

The bus driver was among those killed in the accident, Superintendent of Police D.K. Chaudhary said.

All the victims belonged to Saroura village.
