3 killed, 9 injured in factory explosion near Nagpur

Three labourers were killed and seven others injured in an explosion in a steel factory at Kapsi village near here today, police said.

The incident occurred when a boiler in the J. D. Ispat factory exploded due to some “technical problems” in the blast furnace, they said.

However, according to unconfirmed reports 19 people have been injured in the explosion.

All the injured have been brought to city hospitals for treatment.

Fire Brigade officials from Nagpur and police officials have rushed to the spot.

The police have ruled out any terror attack.
